  • To coordinate the processing and issuance of research permits in the wildlife sector.
  • To spearhead the development and review of standard operating procedures, policies, and regulations associated with the access and use of wildlife for research.
  • To monitor and evaluate compliance with the permit terms and conditions, regulations and laws associated with the conduct of wildlife research.
  • To monitor and evaluate compliance with Access and Benefits Sharing instruments
  • Coordination and linkages with research regulatory and licensing agencies
