EMPLOYEE INFORMATION

Ms Karanja has been appointed as Head of Corporate Communications and Customer Service effective from 2nd May, 2023. She holds a Master’s Degree in Development Communication from the University of Nairobi, a Bachelors’ Degree in Communication, Electronic Media and Information technology and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Relations (CIPR) from Simon Page College, United Kingdom.

She is a member of the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK) and Certified International Public Relations (CIPR).

Ms Karanja has served and worked in different roles in the communications and media industry. She has led and coordinated teams across Africa in the development and implementation of communications, policy and advocacy strategies, development of internal and external communications infrastructure. Handling media and stakeholder relationship management, and managing digital engagement plans and campaigns. She has worked for Standard Media Group as an Editor and People Daily newspaper. Previously, she consulted for Oxfam International and World-Wide Fund for Nature Kenya (WWF-Kenya). She is passionate about wildlife and environmental conservation.
